The City Darjeeling developed in the 19th century by the British set up a sanatorium and military depot ion Darjeeling. It is district in the Indian state of west Bengal, located in the foothills of Himalaya in Northern India is globally famous for the endless tea garden, DHR (Darjeeling Himalayan Railway) the UNSECO world heritage Site. Darjeeling, is “the queen of all hill stations” and also the 'Dream-land of the East', popular for natural beauty, year round pleasant weather clean fresh air, and above all, tea estates and the famous Darjeeling Tea. Darjeeling the name derives from Dorje (Thunderbolt) and Ling (Place). Darjeeling is one of the most famous hilly destinations of India, strategically very vital due to its nearness with Nepal and Bhutan borders. Darjeeling is all about eye catching sight of shine white snow-capped Kanchenjunga, deluge flowing down the mountain slopes, landscapes with firs, pines & ferns, lovely tea gardens, and all that mixed with friendly local and modern yet unsophisticated charm.
