Chowrasta

Chowrasta is the most admired and popular tourist location in Darjeeling. Often regarded as ‘The melting pot of Culture’ the place is situated in the heart of the city and is a focal center for tourism and a popular spot to witness the beauty of the hills. Chowrasta used to be the fashionable place of assembly place for British residents in the 18th century. It is perched at an altitude of 2,134 meters and on a clear and sunny day offers the best view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and the other twelve peaks of the Himalayan range. The site is popular among tourists for spending leisure time while admiring the beauty of the city amidst a peaceful environment.
